Sonam Raghuvanshi and her alleged lover Raj Kushwaha are blaming each other for the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi in Meghalaya, a report has claimed.

Sonam Raghuvanshi and her alleged lover Raj Kushwaha are reportedly shifting blame during their interrogations in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case.
According to The Indian Express, investigators familiar with the interrogation said that Sonam and Raj, both accused of plotting to kill Raja Raghuvanshi, were denying their respective roles and held each other responsible for the act.
The report quoted a senior officer as saying that during interrogations, it was learnt that one of the arrested accused, Vishal, had hit Raja Raghuvanshi on his head, after which Sonam helped the three of them push Raja’s body down the gorge.
It was also believed that Sonam Raghuvanshi had insisted her husband, Raja, to visit the spot on the pretext of clicking pictures.
Once the plan was executed, the three accused, along with Sonam, travelled to an unknown location and later dispersed.
“We have to ask them many crucial details about the murder. We are yet to ascertain details of the money transactions, how the murder was planned and confront them with evidence,” the report quoted SIT chief Herbert Pyniaid Kharkongor as saying.

Indore-based Raja and Sonam Raghuvanshi, married on May 11, arrived in Meghalaya for their honeymoon on May 20.
They were reported missing on May 23.
While Raja Raghuvanshi’s body was found in a gorge in the state, Sonam remained missing and was traced in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur in the early hours of June 9.
Upon her arrest, Sonam Raghuvanshi claimed she was drugged, abducted, and abandoned. However, the police said she had surrendered in the case.
Subsequently, the police also arrested Sonam’s lover Raj Kushwaha, along with three others, believed to be contract killers, on charges of killing Raja Raghuvanshi in Meghalaya.
In the latest, it was known that Sonam, now in custody of the Meghalaya Police, has admitted to her involvement in killing her husband.
